Katey has always collected pets. Her mom pitches a fit everytime she begs for an animal, but sometimes she is weak.
She has had everything from the standard hamsters with 1000 babies to the bizarre chinchilla that rolled in dust. Some of the creatures escaped their cages and are probably still lurking in the ductwork or in dark corners of the house. A hermit crab was lost and actually found one year later alive under the corner of a doormat when the basement flooded.
Her Dad came home with an aquarium and Katey was prepared for fish, however, her Dad had other plans. He introduced Katey to an iguana. He was a mean thing that tried to whip the dogs with his tail. One day it must have ducked out the opened door and it has not been seen since. The dogs were relieved.
The aquarium looked so lonely. A day later, the glass box had a new addition, a creepy bearded dragon named "Germin". Katey's mom was skeptical of Germin. The iguana's whipping tail habit scarred her for life. The dogs were leery and the cat thought he looked "tasty". Katey slowly intergrated him into her family's lives. Katey will have some adventures with this "little dragon."
